Mary Shaw has been named VP of Development at Let’s Eat. Mary will head up our nonprofit’s grant division. Mary comes to Let’s Eat with a lengthy track record of business successes. Much of her career has been spent in the Washington DC market. The New York native currently resides in Baltimore. Several area public schools are planning food drives to contribute to our food inventory this semester. What a great opportunity for team building at your school with students, parents and faculty participating. Some of our greatest learning takes place outside of the classroom. On this Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday what better way to give tribute than to live his words, “Everyone can be great, because everyone can serve.”

The Let’s Eat team is celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who still inspires us today.

Let’s Eat participated in the United Way of Central Maryland's service day in memory of Martin Luther King, Jr. The Center provided a wonderful selection of high quality meats, eggs , produce and everyday goods needed by families. The First Annual Let’s Eat Gala is being held on March 23rd at Cured 18th & 21st restaurant in Columbia, Maryland. This is our largest fundraiser in our 7 years of existence. Tickets are $175 each and 100% of the revenue goes to those thousands of food insecure families that we serve in Greater Baltimore. All of you who follow Let’s Eat know that in 2025 we rescued one million pounds of food which helped several hundred thousands of food insecure persons in Greater Baltimore. We also support those organizations which offer similar human services.
