Hi there! We’re so glad you stopped by our blog. This is the first of many posts where we’ll share the heart and soul of our Mobile Food Pantry. If you’re new here, let us introduce ourselves: we rescue surplus food from local grocery stores and deliver it directly to families and communities in need around the greater Baltimore area.

Let's Eat, Inc. team & partners rescuing food in Baltimore

Our mission: To create access to healthy food options to the underserved and to reduce food waste in the Greater Baltimore area. Through local partnerships, we deliver donated goods to facilities supporting the elderly, homeless, families transitioning out of rehabilitation centers, local food pantries, and more.

Why do we do this? It’s simple. Food rescue is what we do. It is an important part of community service and human care. We take donations from local grocers and use them to fight hunger in food desert areas. There’s a lot of perfectly good food that gets thrown away every day, while many of our neighbors worry about where their next meal will come from. We’re here to change that by making sure that extra food goes to those who need it most.
