This week the Baltimore Sun published an article naming the highest earning nonprofit executives whose top earner was paid over one million dollars per year in salary. Although these salaries seem a bit excessive within the spirit of the mission of a nonprofit , I only truly care about our nonprofit.

The Let’s Eat, Inc executives, board members and volunteers receive not one dollar in compensation. At Let’s Eat there are no labor costs or food costs because all of the food we rescue is donated. Our nonprofit certainly has administrative costs but we deliver $.90 of every dollar donated back to our beneficiaries. So, the next time you are looking to donate money to a charity, think about Let’s Eat. Also, every dollar stays in the Greater Baltimore area.
